There has never been a deed for your face.
There's one for your house, your car, the song you wrote at two in the morning. For almost everything you value, there's something you can hold up that says this is mine. Your face, the most personal thing you have, is the one thing no paper ever backed up. For most of history that cost you nothing. Then AI learned to make a believable image of you in seconds, and the one thing nobody protected became the easiest thing to take.
We built the part that was missing. The right was always yours. PersonaShield is what finally lets you hold it, protecting you from what you never agreed to, and letting you earn from what you choose to share.
Built by people who protect likeness at scale.
PersonaShield is led by Phillip Shoemaker, former Head of App Store Review at Apple, who spent years deciding what reached a billion devices. The lesson stuck with him. Whoever sets the rules holds the power, and for your likeness, the AI tools have been setting them. We hand them back to you.
He also founded Identity.org, a nonprofit for digital rights in the age of AI. We come from the world of protecting identity online, and we built PersonaShield to bring that same protection to your likeness.
Three principles behind the product.
Consent comes first.
Creators should have a real say in how their likeness is used. That is the foundation, not a checkbox.
Protection and creation are one system.
The safeguards that decide what gets taken down also decide what fans can officially make. Both sides run on one platform, so nothing falls through the gap.
We are not against AI. It should just have to ask.
Fans were always going to create with the people they admire. PersonaShield gives that an official home, within the creator’s safeguards, fair to both sides.
